Julien Philippe, PhD
Academic Highlights More Information
Dr. Philippe obtained his Doctorate degree in Biomedical Sciences (Human Genetics) from University of Lille.
Dr. Philippe is currently a Postdoctoral Associate whose research in our laboratory focuses on genetic variation using a zebrafish model. His doctoral training focused on the investigation of human genetic disorders, mainly on type 2 diabetes and obesity, where he employed next generation sequencing. During his PhD, he found it frustrating to identify interesting results, such as a likely causal mutation that was promising based on the literature but still requiring functional validation.
As a true French frog-eater, he hopes to bring new research angles to the zebrafish model without cooking them!
